The story behind the selection
Roots run deep.
Born and raised in Marseille’s reggae scene, Ganjah Samurai started Rasta Waves radio at 18, interviewing legends like Lee “Scratch” Perry and Capleton.
Two decades of vinyl digging shaped his sound: heavy roots and dub, straight from the top of the tree. A trip to Japan in 2023 — and meeting Cojie of Scorcher Hi-Fi — pushed him out of the studio and behind his own MecMini sound system. Now resident in Prague, he runs Rockers’ Iration, curated the Reggae Dub Zone at Prague420, and in summer 2026 toured Europe as Scorcher Hi-Fi’s tour manager and MC.
